A desktop home for your EPUBs.

Augre keeps your books in a clean library, remembers your place, and gets out of the way while you read. Free on Mac, Windows, and Linux, with no account needed.

What kind of reader is Augre?

Augre is a free desktop EPUB reader. It imports your EPUB files, pulls in covers and book details, stores everything locally, and brings you back to where you stopped reading. Fonts, themes, colors, and layout are all adjustable.

Getting started

  1. 1

Import an EPUB from your computer, or open one directly in Augre.

  2. 2

Browse your library by cover, with titles and authors filled in.

  3. 3

Read with the table of contents at hand. Your place is saved as you go.

  4. 4

Adjust the font, line height, colors, theme, and wallpaper whenever you like.
